Punchjar

Punchjar terms of use

Last updated October 25, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and RandomFuse LLC ("we", "us") about your use of Punchjar, our time clock and work hours tracker. By using Punchjar you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

If you got Punchjar from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, alongside these terms. For matters between you and the App Store, where Apple's agreement and these terms conflict, Apple's agreement prevails.

1. Using Punchjar

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Punchjar on devices you own or control, for your own use, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from.

Your own use includes tracking the hours you work for employers and clients, and sharing your timesheets with them.

Please don't:

2. Hours and pay are estimates

Punchjar adds up the hours, overtime, pay and take-home amounts from the times, rates and rules you enter. They are estimates to help you keep track:

3. Accounts

You can use Punchjar without an account. If you sign in:

4. Free use and Punchjar Pro

5. Your content

Your content is yours. That includes your jobs, hours, pay, notes and timesheets. We don't claim any ownership of it.

What you allow us to do with it. You give us only the permission we need to store, copy and send your content between your devices so that Punchjar works:

That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for the short periods in our privacy policy.

6. Our content

The app, its design, text, icons and the "Punchjar" name belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components are listed in Settings → Licenses, under their own licenses.

7. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Punchjar reliable, and the clock works offline. Still:

If we ever stop offering sync, we'll tell you at least 90 days before, so that you can export your data first.

8. No warranty

Punchjar is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied: no warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, and no promise that the app will be error-free or that its totals match what you're paid. Keep your own copies of important data; the free export is there for that.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, wages or profits. Our total liability for any claim about Punchjar is limited to the greater of what you paid us for Punchjar in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using Punchjar at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we do, we'll tell you why where we can, and you can still export your data from the app on your device.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and disputes go to the courts in Broward County, Florida. If you're a consumer in the EU or the UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Punchjar after that, you accept the new terms.
